Project Description

This Government School was in dire need of additional classrooms for its students. The existing classrooms were overcrowded beyond their decent seating capacities, causing lot of inconvenience to the students and teachers and adverse environment for the health of the students. The congestion in the classrooms was also affecting the learning of the students. The roofs of the existing classrooms were severely damaged by the persistent waterlogging due to faulty roof surface levels. The steel reinforcement bars inside the roof slabs were heavily rusted and the ceiling plaster was falling because of lack of cohesion. This was a grave risk to the life and safety of the students and teachers. Therefore, the Trust has taken up the work of complete dismantling of the damaged roof slabs of the existing classrooms and recasting the same with proper waterproofing and Dhar while maintain proper slopes and drainage of the roof top surface.

The construction of three new classrooms has also been taken up. Additionally, a shed over the assembly area is being planned so that the children can assemble under it for their daily assembly, even during the rainy and summer seasons. Presently the children are forced to stand in open for the daily assembly, irrespective of the vagaries of the seasons such as heat, cold and rain.

Trust will also provide the furniture for the new classrooms and donate computers to the school for improvement in general learning standard and the computer education.

With our limited resources we have tried to contribute our bit in improvement of the school education in the Government Senior Secondary School, Muhana, and we sincerely believe that this will have positive impact and prove beneficial in the long run for all the present as well as future students of this school.

We have purposely chosen the government school over private schools, because our beneficiary target group is the underprivileged and deprived section of the Indian society, who are only found in government schools due to their unaffordability of private schools.
